The theme song '(Everything I Do), I Do It For You' was co-written and performed by Bryan Adams, and featured on 'Waking up the Neighbours' album. It was an enormous chart success internationally, spending seven weeks at number one in the United States' Billboard Hot 100, sixteen consecutive weeks at number one in the UK singles chart (the longest in British chart history), and a staggering 39 weeks in Canada. The song won a 'Grammy Award Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television' in the Grammy Awards of 1992, and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song. Elsewhere in Europe, the song reached number one in Germany, Holland, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. The success of the single led to pre-order sales of a million for Waking up the Neighbours throughout Europe. The album went on to sell 15 million copies around the world due in part to the song but also due to other singles.

Tina Turner 'Private Dancer' (1985)
Video nominated in the category of 'Film Sound' won John Hudson of Mayfair Studios a Grammy award. Additionally it won a British Academy Award nomination in the category of 'Excellence in the Craft of Film and TV Sound'.

Tina Turner 'Break Every Rule Tour' (1988)
a continuation of the Private Dancer tour. Filmed at Camden Palace - now Koko. Mixed and final dub by John Hudson at Mayfair Studios.

Tina Turner 'Live in Rio' (1989)
world record-breaking show held at the Maracana Soccer Stadium, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil was later released in video form on VHS and DVD. Tina entered the Guinness Book of World Records for setting the record of drawing 182,000 paying fans to a one-night show alone. John Hudson recorded and produced the live sound for this event which was simulcast live to HBO USA and Japan and also recorded for video.

Shallow Grave (1994) directed by Danny Boyle
Composer/producer Simon Boswell chose Mayfair as the studios in which to create the soundtrack for this black comedy feature film that marks the directorial debut of Danny Boyle. Additionally, this was the first part in what some consider to be the Danny Boyle/Ewan McGregor trilogy, which continued with 'Trainspotting' and the romantic black comedy 'A Life Less Ordinary'. This film was #91 on Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments. Assisted by John Hudson.

Original music score composed by Ryuichi Sakamoto and produced at Mayfair Studios - John Hudson mixed the music and the final dub.

Brazil (1985) directed by Terry Gilliam
Composer Michael Kamen opted to use Mayfair for much of his work. The complete soundtrack for 'Brazil' was recorded and mixed in both studios 1 and 2 here. In 2004 the magazine Total Film named 'Brazil' the 20th greatest British movie of all time. In 2006 Channel 4 voted 'Brazil' one of the '50 Films to See Before You Die', shortly before its broadcast on BBC Four. John Hudson mixed the music tracks.
